PlayStation gamers hoping to enjoy the new Days Gone zombie adventure game sometime during 2018, will be a little disappointed to learn that its developers SIE Bend Studio and publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment. Have this week announced that the release date for the Days Gone action, adventure, survival, horror game has now been pushed back into 2019. “We can confirm that Days Gone will now be releasing in 2019,” Sony confirmed.

Built using the Unreal 4 games engine the PlayStation exclusive survival horror game is set in a post-apocalyptic open world and played from a third-person perspective. The storyline for Days Gone is set two years after a worldwide pandemic occurs killing nearly the whole population of Earth and transforming millions of inhabitants into “Freakers”, taking the form of mindless zombie-like creatures that are “quickly evolving”. Check out the two trailers released by Sony below to remind yourself of what you can expect from the storyline and PlayStation game which will now be available to enjoy sometime during 2019.

Gameplay will allow players to complete objectives in a number of different ways such as using stealth or long and short range weapons. The game will also include a dynamic weather system and day and night cycles. During which the “Freakers” will be weak and slow during the day but fast and aggressive by night, all of which sounds awfully familiar.
