New Daydream VR Euphrates Platform Update Enhances All Devices

After unveiling their new stand-alone Daydream VR hardware earlier this week during the ongoing Google I/O conference. Google has also announced that they will be releasing a new Daydream 2.0 software update which will come in the form of Daydream Euphrates.

Euphrates will bring with it improvements and enhancements for all Daydream devices and the major update will combine with the core of the upcoming Android O operating system.

Daydream 2.0 will add a dashboard on top of any VR experience so you can check notifications, change settings, pause experiences, and most importantly switch from application to application as you do on your smartphone.

As well as enable users to capture still images and video and share them with friends outside Daydream. Letting friends see what others are engaged in in real time when using virtual reality applications and experiences.
