Samsung Galaxy S9 And S9 Plus Get March Security Update

The Samsung Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy S9 Plus are launching this Friday, although some people are getting their handsets a little early. Samsung has now released their first software update for the two handsets.

The first software update for  the Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy S9 Plus includes Google’s March security update for their Android OS. The update has been released in Germany first and it should start to head to more countries soon.

The update is around 242MB in size and it come with the build number G960FXXU1ARC5 for the Galaxy S9 and the build number G965FXXU1ARC5 for the S9 Plus. The update also comes with some security fixes for Samsung’s own software.

The update is now available as an over the air update for the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus, you can check to see if it is available for your handset from the settings menu on your device, although many people will not have received their new S9 smartphone as yet as they do not launch until Friday.
