Sony accidentally posts whole movie to YouTube instead of trailer

Accidents happen, but when you work in the movie industry, sometimes accidents can cost a studio a lot of money. That may be the case here as someone at Sony accidentally uploaded an entire movie onto Youtube instead of just a trailer.

The movie is a direct-to-DVD movie that’s apparently getting a theatrical release nine months after hitting retail. After this mistake, Sony has scrubbed everything related to Khali the Killer from its YouTube channel, but luckily we have a screenshot. Right now the film is only streaming on Vudu.

If this has peaked your interest, this is what IMDb has to say about the movie: “After deciding to retire, an East L.A. hit man decides to take one last job to help support his ailing grandmother’s end of life care. But everything falls apart, when he develops empathy for the targets of his hit, and he’s forced to make the toughest decision of his life.”

From the sound of it, you can see why it is a direct to DVD movie. Sure, this isn’t a blockbuster, but this mistake could still have cost the company a lot of revenue if enough people saw it for free rather than buying it.
